There are currently 13 monks of the Archabbey who are in various stages of formation and education studying at Saint Vincent Seminary. There are also six Saint Vincent Benedictines in doctoral programs, who will return to teach at Saint Vincent College and Seminary upon completion of their studies. Your support of the education of our Benedictine monks would be greatly appreciated. Their education is crucial to the future of the Church.
HEALTH AND WELFARE
The Benedictine Community has 170 monks who devote their lives to serving the needs of people through a wide variety of pastoral, educational, and missionary works, both at Saint Vincent and throughout the world. While the older monks remain active well beyond normal retirement age, they face the same financial hardships that other retirees do—rising health care costs and increased living expenses. The Monastery Health and Welfare Fund provides older priests and brothers the care they need after their many years of service to the people of God.
