A monk of Saint Vincent Archabbey has written a new book on Benedictine monasticism through Sacred Winds Press of Augusta, Missouri. Prayer, Study, and Work: Renewing the Benedictine Ideal by Daniel J. Heisey, O.S.B., was released this fall. The 76-page book retails for $13.95.

Daniel J. Heisey, also known as Brother Bruno, explores what Benedictines and other Christians immersed in a modern suburban culture can learn from the vision of monastic saints such as Benedict and Basil.
