A special Traveler’s Mass will be held in the Mary Mother of Wisdom Student Chapel at 2 p.m. before the event. The event will begin at 3 p.m. in the gymnasium. Advance tickets are $10. Cost is $15 at the door. Contact Father Fred Byrne at 724-805-2482 for tickets or additional information.

The event will feature the uplifting music of three artists as well as an empowering message from youth preacher Paul George. Matt Maher will perform his critically acclaimed and widely covered praise and worship songs. The congregation will be encouraged and inspired to participate and worship with the other two featured musicians, Kelly Pease and Josh Blakesley.

April 13 is the day that Pope Benedict XVI has consecrated as the World Day of Prayer for Vocations. Father Fred invites local college and high school students, families, and parishioners of all Christian faiths and denominations to attend.

Saint Evaristus
"The bishop also wishes me to start a seminary as soon as possible to educate young men for the priesthood. At present there is no such institution in the country [for German-speaking students]. Boys of the wealthier classes usually study for secular professions. For this reason, almost all the secular clergy are of foreign birth: Irish, German, French."—Boniface Wimmer, in a letter written on this day in 1846.
