Wednesday, March 03, 2010 Archabbey Hosting Lecture on Shroud of Turin March 21
Saint Vincent Archabbey will host an inspirational lecture by Carl T. Hasselman, M.D., entitled “The Passion and Death of Christ: An analysis of the Shroud of Turin from a Medical Perspective” on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 7 p.m. in the Fred M. Rogers Center on the campus of Saint Vincent College. Shortly after September 11, 2001, Dr. Hasselman was called to active duty to serve as the Chief of Surgery and Orthopedic Surgeon for the Army Combat Support Hospital in Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan in support of Special Forces and the 101st Airborn Division. Since then he has served tours in Iraq, Kosovo and U.S. military training sites in the United States. He has earned the Bronze Star as well as numerous other military awards for his efforts.
