Bids for the first organ in the Archabbey Basilica were advertised in February of 1905, one of the final steps for completion of the church. The first organ was constructed by the Austin Organ Company of Hartford Connecticut. It had two parts, the smaller for the monastic choir and the larger in the rear gallery of the church.
